And another one bites the dust...

Speed Scrap, that is.  I finished my third one in two days.  Whew!  What can I say.."my name is Stephanie, and I'm addicted to Speed Scraps".  This final one was hosted by Michelle, and it was loads of fun.  She always teases us with a theme, and this week we discussed all of her favorite foods.  If you weren't able to make it, don't worry, she's going to be back at it again next Saturday at 2pm EST.  Jaclyn is also hosting a Speed Scrap on Friday at 9pm EST, if you're a die-hard like I am and want to squeeze in as many as you can.  :)

Here's my final creation.  The photos are not of my peanut, though, they are my daughter's best friend.  Isn't she a peach?

What do you think?

Since it's Saturday, and I'm feeling generous, I'm going to toss out a freebie for you.  One condition, I'd love to hear if you like it and/or decide to grab it, so leave me a comment.  :)

Time Flies...

Sweet Tomato Designs is a guest designer over at Digi Design Resort this month.  She's created a gorgeous kit, specifically for this occasion, but it is exclusive to DDR, so hurry over and get your copy before it's too late!

Here is  my first layout using it, and I can tell this is going to be one of my "go-to" kits.  It's extremely versatile and has elements applicable to each day, week or month of the entire year!

One down, One to go...

Did you attend the Speed Scrap at My Life and Scrap last night?  If not, shame on you!  Just kidding.  We had a really good time and Jac's instructions were FUN.  If you're interested, there's another one in about an hour and a half (2pm EST).

Here is my final product:

Just before the MLAS Speed Scrap, Connie Prince hosted one over at Gotta Pixel.  Let me tell you, back to back speed scraps puts me in a great mood.  Of course, I had a 1 year old singing at the top of her lungs through part of it, dinner in the oven, a cranky and cold husband arriving home from work...So, I had to finish it up a little late.  Oh well, I till had a good time.

Here's my final product for Connie's SS:

Thanks for looking!  I'd love to hear what you think and I'd love even more to see you at the Speed Scrap this afternoon!

My Life and Scrap is hosting not one but TWO weekly Speed Scraps, Friday at 9pm EST and Saturday at 2pm EST.  See you there!

Blue Christmas...

Did I mention the fact that I was chosen to join the ranks over a Z Pink Boudoir Designs?  With the chaos that is known around here as November and December...I don't think I told many people.  That's not to say I'm not excited.  I am SUPER excited.  Zeee, the head honcho, is such a great girl and her designs are really stunning.  I've been anxious to get started.

Here is my layout, created using the Blue Christmas kit (believe me when I say the papers in this kit are drool-worthy):

Here is a peek at the kit preview:

Didn't I tell you it was nice?

It's officially 2010...

Have you set any goals for yourself this year?

I, for one, am striving to keep my camera near me more (both at home and when we're out). It amazes me how often I see something really neat, or scary, or breathtaking - and of course, my camera is safely tucked away in it's case. At home.

Secondly, I want to push myself a little more in scrapping. I think we often take the "more pages, more pages, more pages" approach and don't stop to consider the quality of what we're doing. I want to create more of those pages that make others, and myself, stop and say "wow".

Third, my family learned the hard way in 2009 that your life can change in the blink of an eye. I hope to take a little more time each day to stop and notice the wonderful life that I have. Who cares if there is laundry to fold and dishes are piled to the ceiling? My family is beautiful and every moment I get to spend with them is priceless.

Let's see...number four is going to have to be to get outside my comfort zone a little more in the kitchen. I am such a foodie. I love watching the Food Network on tv, and I am subscribed to an embarrassing number of food blogs. In 2009, I did a pretty good job of trying new things and testing new recipes. I want to continue in 2010.

And number five. I'm going to say it. I hate saying it. I am going to try to get in better shape, physically. *cringe* I think it's a common goal across the planet, most people want to start eating better or exercising more, etc. We eat pretty great, but with an infant as my full-time companion, exercising has been pretty tough. Luckily, she's getting old enough now that we can go out with the stroller or go play at the park.

I think that's enough about me. What about you? What are you going to try to work hard (or harder) at in 2010?
